Quick Help: Checking Messages
Home Users: Dial *123
Business Users: Use your phone's voicemail button, or dial * + your extension number.
Checking for Messages
Home Users
Customers using a regular home telephone on any of the VoicePulse Residential service plans can dial *123 to check their voicemail.
Business Users
If you have IP phones configured via VoicePulse's provisioning server, your phone's Voicemail button should take you to your mailbox.
If your phone does not have this button, or if you want to check another extension's voicemail, dial * + Extension. You can also dial *5000 to access the Voicemail Hub, where you will be prompted to enter a mailbox number and password.
Mailbox Setup
These settings apply to both Home and Business users.
Viewing Mailbox Settings
After logging into your VoicePulse account:
- Click the Services tab along the top of the page
- On the left, click Mailboxes
- Click the mailbox for your extension.
- Home users: You have one "extension" per line of service. If you have multiple mailboxes (aside from "999 General Mailbox" which you can ignore), you can see which one belongs to which line under Services -> Extensions. Contact Customer Support if you need assistance.
Changing Your Greeting
This can be done via the website, but the easiest way to do it is via your phone.
- Dial your voicemail access code (see the top of this article).
- Enter your PIN. If you don't know your PIN, you can reset it by following the instructions below.
- Press 0 for advanced mailbox options.
- Follow the prompts to record your greeting(s).
If you have a recording in WAV or MP3 format that you'd like to use, you can upload it to be used as your greeting. Follow the "Viewing Mailbox Settings" section above and, once in your mailbox settings, click the "Select File" option next to the greeting you want to replace.
We have some generic recordings you can download and use at the following link: Recordings for use in Voicemail, Queues, or Auto Attendants
